Templates: done
Philadelphia. Finished in the morning an initial set of templates that will allow going online with the site. Time to move them onto their actual web space! For a few days the site is going to look messy, with no content at all plus a lot of broken links. But I got the templates! And I like the logo. It feels nice when you like something you did. It doesn't always happen. Actually, it rarely happens...

Technical Set-up
Philadelphia. After expectable delays, pretty much common in the hosting business, got to have opened the new hosting account for the project today. Right after, I went on to changing the domain name servers.
The DNS change worked faster than expected and people already see a page when typing www.Ethnophotography.com! They will see almost nothing, however...
A first check on Google shows 89 results when searching for the term 'Ethnophotography.' Obviously there is nothing related to Ethnophotography.com, but it's fun to do this type of check and then see how long it takes to appear listed.

Philadelphia. Received the good news from the people at Berkeley's American Indian Graduate Program that the paper on the Secoya Indigenous of Ecuador has been accepted.

Starting up this project
Philadelphia. Working on a photo-weblog for another project, I decide those templates could be developed further as a much-delayed project of a personal online photo-album. Spend the rest of the holidays working on it, and the enthusiasm for that is really helpful (J's company does the rest of the healing work) for the uneasiness of not having been able to travel to Colombia and spend Christmas at home, for the third year in a row.
